You have to go back to 2005 to when the Ospreys last played league rugby at the Gnoll, where they beat Edinburgh 29-12 to win the Celtic League title. Now we return to where we also played our first league game for the Pro14 game against the Cheetahs. Many supporters would have attended the recent Paul James Testimonial game and experienced a great atmosphere on a great playing surface.
Facilities
We understand that there will be new bars built before the game (each side of the ground). There will also be additional toilet facilities brought in for the game to cope with demand (that may be exacerbated be the additional bar facilities).
Tickets
If season ticket holders haven’t already requested a ticket for the game, get hold of the Ospreys ticket office ASAP! Tickets are also on general sale from thye ticket office and also some are available directly from Hayley at Neath RFC via ticketing@neathrfc.com. Adults are £10 and children just £5.
Parking
There will be FREE parking from 6pm in the multistory car park just a minutes walk from the ground – if you park before 6pm, you will have to pay so beware. The carpark opening is extended until midnight so make sure you get out of the carpark before then or be prepared for a night out in Neath!
The Clubhouse
The Wales v Barbarians game will be shown in the clubhouse before our game, so why not make a day of it and and enjoy the match with fellow Opsreys supporters.
We will base ourselves in the downstairs bar on the right hand side as you come through the doors. We’ll be there pre match taking bookings for those who want to travel with us to the Scarlets or Dragons league games over the Christmas period as well as selling OSC badges to raise funds for local rugby related charities.
We will also be interviewing players in the bar post match (as per the Riverside) and we expect to have D-Fibs back with us to provide live music post match for those who want to dance the night away.
